More than 100 random acts of kindness mark 100th birthday

Esther Patterson’s life philosophy is pretty simple.
“Just keep going,” said the long-time Britton resident, who will be celebrating her 100th birthday on Sunday. “There’s no secret. I’ve had my ups and downs, but I wouldn’t change anything. You can’t go back.”

Lawyer is the fourth generation to call Webster home

“I’ve always wanted to return. I enjoy the people, the environment, the lifestyle. Knowing that I wanted to return helped shape my decisions,” said Tom Sannes. “It all came together very well for me. I can’t complain. I’ve been lucky.”

Spring scene: Lambing and calving is ‘most fun part of the year’ for Clark breeder

“I don’t know if it was the dry weather last year or what, but in talking to other breeders at the farm show this year, we’ve all noticed a lot more single births this year with our herds. We usually have about 50 percent of our births being twins, but this year only about one third of them are twin births,” stated Wayne Fuller of Clark.

BDA Home Designs visualizes new home or remodel projects

One of the hardest things about planning a new house or a remodeling job is visualizing what it will look like in the end. That’s where BDA Home Designs and Brock Abeln can help.
Abeln started his new company a year ago, but has long had an interest in the building trade. He worked with Dick Seurer while growing up and took classes with Don Donley in high school. At one time he had aspirations of attending college to be an architect. All that changed the summer of 2003 when an accident left him paralyzed from the neck down.

The Rev. Clark family attends Pro Bowl in Hawaii as a Make-A-Wish trip

It’s pretty special when a trip of a lifetime comes when you’re a freshman in high school. Hudson Steffen’s trip to Hawaii to the 2013 NFL Pro Bowl was exactly that trip.
Hudson is the son of Bob and Joie Steffen. They went on this trip along with Hudson’s sister, Hannah, and brother, Hayse. The Pro Bowl, played by the best players in the National Football League, was held at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii, Sunday, January 24.
