It’s pretty special when a trip of a lifetime comes when you’re a freshman in high school. Hudson Steffen’s trip to Hawaii to the 2013 NFL Pro Bowl was exactly that trip. Bristol woman offers hope by telling her unique birth story
On a cold winter’s day in January 1943, a woman gave birth alone to a premature baby girl. Because of the cold, the woman didn’t dare take the child outside to a doctor or a hospital. That baby not only survived despite her odds, but now calls Bristol home and is interested in sharing her story with others to offer hope. Kopriva competes at national Young Farmers and Ranchers Discussion Meet
Lee Kopriva, Raymond, represented South Dakota in the Young Farmers and Ranchers (YF&R) Discussion Meet after winning the state contest in November and advancing on to the national contest. The YF&G Discussion Meet is a public speaking contest designed to simulate a committee meeting in which active discussion and participation are expected from each participant. They exchange ideas and solve problems on predetermined agricultural topics.
