While growing up in the Britton area, Bernard Christenson couldn’t have scripted the impact he would have on the state of South Dakota.
The 1956 Britton High School graduate went on to head the Department of Criminal Investigation, the South Dakota Community Foundation, and has been a friend and confidant to a number of the state’s governors.
The South Dakota Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Dakota Resources has been awarded a $15,000 grant to assist with their Rural Housing Collaborative (RHC). This grant was presented through the South Dakota Community Foundation’s statewide grant program.
Stephanie Judson is the new president for the South Dakota Community Foundation, a public non-profit organization established in 1987. Earnings from approximately $140 million are available for distribution for non-profit, charitable and scholarship purposes.
