Faulkton building permits top $1.5 million in 2012

Four new homes were either completed or construction was started in Faulkton this past year according to the building permits issued by the City of Faulkton. Those structures accounted for much of the $1,594,550 in estimated new construction in the city in 2012.

In 2011 only $238,000 in building permits were issued. Recent building permit totals include 2009 construction $1.1 million, $370,000 in 2008 and $374,000 in 2007.

Commerical construction also made up for a large portion of the total. The biggest estimated project started was a proposed 80 x 160 steel building. Dirt work was begun on the lot this fall.
