Enrollment numbers remain consistent in several area schools; Britton-Hecla takes hit
After seeing consistently dwindling student numbers over the past decade, several area schools’ enrollment numbers have seemed to taper off. This is a welcome change since important aspects of education, such as state funding, depend heavily upon student enrollment.

Garden City woman reaches 16 different countries with ‘Marilyn’s Way’
“I never expected it to grow this big, said Marilyn Foster of her Marilyn’s Way Facebook group. Having fans of her Facebook site in 16 different countries, she has really enjoyed what it has brought into her life, as well as how it is helping others feel better about themselves and their homes.

PUC votes in favor of Oak Tree Energy and Clark Wind Farm
There will be a wind farm in Clark County. Oak Tree Energy has been negotiating with NorthWestern Energy, through the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission, and late last Tuesday the PUC handed down its decision.

Late spring stressful for cow/calf producers
South Dakota State University Extension cow/calf field specialist Warren Rusche stated in an online article that he is worried about losses to this year’s calf crop due to the weather.
